The Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) is the most prestigious international award for a water-related science project at the high school level. The prize taps into the unlimited potential of today's youths as they seek to address current and future water challenges.
The competition is open to projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life through improvement of water quality, water resource management, or water and wastewater treatment.
The International Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) competition takes place in Sweden during World Water Week, August 17-23, 2008. National SJWP winners from an anticipated 30+ countries will participate in the seven-day educational and cultural exchange program. Finalists will attend the Stockholm Water Prize Ceremony and Royal Banquet at the Stockholm City Hall, in the presence of HM King Carl XVI Gustaf and HM Queen Silvia. It will be a night they will never forget!

The dates for the 2007 Science Fair are March 23-25, 2007. The next "Judging" event will take place on MARCH 24, 2007.
The ISEF has rearranged the categories. We need judges in every category

The Universal Methods of Science
The 59th annual Prince George's Area Science Fair will be held
March 23 - March 25, 2007. This is the regional fair that
receives winning projects from schools in Calvert, Saint Mary's, and
Prince George's counties. It is held at Prince George's Community College in Largo, Md. It is about a mile from the
Central Avenue (Route 214) exit of the Capital beltway (I-495). See the maps below.
As an ISEF-Afiliated Fair, exhibitors wishing to attend must follow ISEF rules. From the ISEF site: "The Rules
Wizard has been designed as a first step to help you determine what forms and approvals are necessary before beginning a science fair project intended for competition at an ISEF-affiliated fair or the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair."
In addition to the ISEF rules, Prince George's Area Science Fair exhibitors need to follow PGASF rules.
Junior Division entrants at the PGASF have additional limitations in project size and areas of research.
Several forms need to be completed before starting experimentation; some may require Scientific Review Committee (SRC) and/or Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.
Students can run the ISEF Rules
Wizard and consult the reference information and downloadable ISEF forms at ISEF Document Library.DO NOT SUBMIT these forms DIRECTLY to the ISEF. We require SEVERAL of the ISEF forms as well as some PGASF forms. We require that both sets of forms reach us THROUGH OUR FORM SUBMITTAL PATH. Usually, the path will be Exhibitor >Parent >Exhibitor >Teacher >Local Science Fair Coordinator >Local Scientific Review Committee (SRC) >Local Institutional Review Board (IRB) >Hold your Local Science Fair >Be Selected to attend the Prince George's Area Science Fair >Complete the PGASF Registration form >Teacher >Science Fair Coordinator >Scientific Review Committee (SRC) >PGASF Institutional Review Board (IRB) >PGASF Registration Step. Your paperwork must be approved at each step.
Some project idea links and general guidance through their entire process is available from the ISEF site.
We welcome volunteers to come to our monthly committee meetings. Please send an e-mail to pgareasciencefair@yahoo.com for details.
